Ligmincha International Officers
Ligmincha International officers play a crucial role in the day-to-day functioning of the organization Rob Patzig was appointed President Ligmincha by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche in summer 2015 and also serves as chair of the Ligmincha International Board of Directors.
President and Chief Financial Officer
Rob Patzig, President and Chief Financial Officer of Ligmincha International, also is Chair of Ligmincha International Board. He first encountered Bon in 2007 and immediately found his spiritual home within the lineage. He has served as Chief Financial Officer for Ligmincha since 2012 and President since summer 2015. Rob teaches yoga in the tradition of Dharma Mittra. Previously he spent 19 years working as the Chief Investment Officer and a Senior Manager for Third Security, LLC, an investment firm, and before that he was an instructor of English at Virginia Tech. He has a B.A. in philosophy and an M.A. in literature from Virginia Tech. He and his wife, Eileen, live in Blacksburg, Va.
Sue Davis-Dill, Executive Director of Ligmincha International, was first introduced to Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche in 1996 while living in the San Francisco Bay area. Shortly thereafter she moved to Virginia in order to fully immerse herself in his teachings. Sue received her bachelor of science in applied mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed a master of arts in counseling psychology in 1999. In 2000 she became founding manager of the Ligmincha Institute Bookstore and Tibet Shop. For 10 years as bookstore manager she developed the physical store as a resource for Bon practitioners, expanding the model to include an online store that ships products to customers worldwide. Sue became Ligmincha's Executive Director in 2010 at the request of its Board of Directors.
Bob Clark became Treasurer of Ligmincha International at the end of 2014. Bob began studying with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and the Bon lineage in 2002. His connection to Tibetan Buddhism first arose during encounters with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Khentsur Lobsang Nordup Rinpoche while studying abroad in India in 1994. He lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with his wife and two daughters and is a humanities teacher and Director of Religious Life at St. Anne's-Belfield School. The son of a landscape nurseryman, he finds creative expression through tending a boxwood meditation garden.
Maggie Scobie, Secretary of the Ligmincha International, has been a longtime student of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, studying and practicing the Bon teachings. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and is a therapist in the Northern Virginia area. For the past 28 years, she has been a faculty and board member at the Institute for the Advancement of Service in Alexandria, where she has taught meditation practiced at the institute and in schools to children of all ages. She has been coordinator of a nonprofit organization to support the education and well-being of orphans in several countries. She resides with her family, including two children who are also Tenzin Rinpoche’s students, in Lovettsville, Virginia.
